Dunwood Hall – Amazing Location!

Yesterday I went with Holly Booth to assist on a bridal jewellery shoot for Judith Brown Jewellery at Dunwood Hall near Stoke-on-Trent.  What an amazing house!  Built in 1871 this is a family home, lived in and loved by Delphine and her family – including the dogs.  The hall is now re-opening for weddings and events and so we were honoured to be allowed access for the shoot.

Holly has worked for Judith before photographing her vintage inspired and haberdashery based jewellery collection and so was delighted when she was asked to shoot Judith’s new bridal collection.  The only problem was getting everyone together on the same day – after several attempts we finally all made it.

Siân Revill was on hand for make-up and hair and Charlotte of Fizzy Bunting / Fig Tree Road brought along all sorts of vintage things for the still life product shots.  Two of our favourite models Rachel and Anna came along and Judith had sourced some wonderful wedding dresses from Heavenly Vintage Brides for them to wear.

My job was to set up lighting and control the daylight.  We moved from room to room setting up the shots and Holly taking the pictures.  Great fun was had by all.  I managed a few snaps on my iPhone to give a flavour of the day – you will have to wait to see Holly’s work on Judith website!

It was a fantastic day – and thanks for everyone’s hard work! I’m so looking forward to seeing the images. I’d just like to add that the stunning dresses were kindly lent by Heavenly Vintage Brides in London https://www.facebook.com/heavenlyvintagebrides.
Thanks from one very excited (and tired) jewellery designer.
