The Photography Show – A Replacement for Focus on Imaging
For many years every March the NEC in Birmingham was the host of Focus on Imaging, on of the biggest photographic trade shows in Europe. I loved wandering around looking at new equipment, buying cheap deals, looking at other photographers work and listening in to lectures on all aspects of the photographic industry. Then earlier this year the organisers announced that 2013 would be the last show.
Future Publishing have stepped in to start a new venture called simply, “The Photography Show” – same dates, same location and similar event. It seems that Future want to put back some of the sparkle and pizzaz of Focus with dedicated studio set-ups and more. To register your interest go to the Registration Page of their web site.
Future’s Head of Photography Matthew Pierce says:
The imaging industry is evolving at speed and we believe there is a real opportunity to create a dynamic and inclusive event with photography at its core which will deliver a broad audience of imaging enthusiasts. Future has a world-leading, multi-award-winning portfolio of photography brands and is recognised internationally for its innovation. The Photography Show will be another example of that.
