An Island Wedding – Iona, Scotland
During the summer I had the great honour of returning to the Isle of Iona, Scotland (where I lived and worked for many years) to attend the wedding of Kate and Jon in Iona Abbey. Many years ago Kate and I cooked together in the wonderful Argyll Hotel on Iona and we have kept in touch ever since. So when she invited us to her island wedding I rushed to offer my photographic services as my gift to her.
The weather in the western isles can be rather wild and my own wedding on Iona was interrupted by a force 8 gale! So with this in mind I was a little apprehensive about what would be thrown at us during the day. Luckily it was glorious! In fact when we stepped out of the Abbey the heat was amazing. From getting ready to the ceremony, the piper, and the all night ceilidh in the village hall I was there capturing it all for ever. This is how I like to cover a wedding.
Here are a few images of the day.

Ewan – you are amazing! We can’t stop looking at your stunningly evocative, intimate, and often humorous, images of our Island Wedding. You’ve captured the spirit day for us – and given it back so we can keep it forever. A million thank yous! Lots of Love, Kate and Jon xx
